It’s a bute of a brew

The bar and restaurant are in the heart of the brewery  right where the beer is made. As we are a small brewery it is a very intimate experience so be ready to rub shoulder with the brewers and the other customers. The bar has our full range of keg and cask beer as well as ciders, wines and soft drinks for those that don’t like beer, although we will try and convert you! Taster flights are available so you can tease your tastebuds with all the variety of beer on offer from IPAs to Stouts. We also have covered and open outdoor  area where you can sit back and enjoy the beer in the sunshine with some good tunes.
Pizzas and beer are just a fantastic combination. Our pizzas are also getting a bit of a name for themselves, just check out our Tripadvisor reviews. “best pizzas ever… an I’m from chicago the home of Pizzas” “best pizzas in the west coast of Scotland” ALL made fresh with our own sour dough and fresh ingredients that we have chosen for these fantastic pizzas

Jintys Cave

Jintys Cave is found on the west coast of the Island south of Ettrick Bay. The cave was inhabited by Jinty Bell, a shellfish picker and hawker who sold her harvest in Rothesay. We can only imagine how hard life must have been of Jinty! Visiting the site the shelter measures approximately 1.8m in width by at least 2.3m in height, and a lower space extends 2.5m into the rock behind. There are still markings on the wall where corrugated sheeting was attached to increase the dwelling space. So raise a glass of the stout to that hardy wee wumin who braved it out in a cave on the west coast of the Island.
